1. デザインの基本原則を身につける

2. デザインを制作し、他者のデザインについて批評することができる

3. デザイン／ コンピューター関連の英語を使う。例えば、デザインに関するアドバイスやソフトウェアの使い方を聞くなど。

4. 自分で制作したデザインを英語で論理的に説明できる

5. （ソフトウェアの）技術的なスキルを高める

To learn basic design principles such as use of contrast, white space, movement, use of images and color etc. for layout; and lettering issues, such as font use, letter spacing and line spacing, etc. for text layout and logo design in English. Though this is not a technical class, students will learn or improve in English in their use of digital tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. through hands-on experience in practical tasks like designing a logo, a business card, etc.



コントラストや余白、動き、画像、配置用の色などのデザインの基本原理、およびフォントやテキスト配置用の文字／行間隔、ロゴデザインなどのレタリングについて英語で学ぶ。本科目は技術を学ぶコースではないが、学生はロゴや名刺をデザインするといった実践的な演習を通じて、フォトショップやイラストレーターなどのデジタルツールの使い方を英語で身につける。

A short exam testing 1) knowledge of definition etc. of some concepts learned in class such as contrast, motion, white space, etc. 2) ability to critique a design or rationalize a design.



次の点に問うミニテストを授業内に行う： 1) コントラストや動き、余白などの授業で学んだ概念の定義などの知識、2) デザインを批評または論理的に説明する能力
