授業概要 |
This course is strongly rooted in the concept of integrated content and language learning (CLIL.) You will be improving your English comprehension and your higher order thinking skills at the same time. Content topics are based on what is considered most useful (and thus motivational) for graduates of the typical Japanese high school curriculum, as well as what has been popular in the previous years of this class. Some examples include; personality, creativity, time management, and personal finance. In dealing with more challenging topics and language, you will greatly expand your vocabulary and create a habit of constructing your English communication around the structure of the topic, rather than just around the English language structures that you have been hitherto most comfortable using. This will be good not only for your English but for your curiosity and life skills too.
|
到達目標 |
1. You will greatly increase both your passive and active vocabulary. 2. You will improve your ability to express concepts and thoughts at intermediate and advanced levels. 3. You will gain confidence and ability to understand and respond to ambiguity and broken communication.
