|
This course will introduce students to the basics of making public speeches in English. It will include: methods for generating content, making outlines, basic presentation skills, and an introduction to expressions and conventions used in English speeches. Students will have in-class opportunities to practice and refine their skills. This course is required for all first year Japanese students.

This course will introduce students to the basics of making public speeches in English. It will include: methods for generating content, making outlines, basic presentation skills, and an introduction to expressions and conventions used in English speeches. Students will be graded on participation (30%) a mid-term presentation (35%), and final presentation (35%).
