授業概要 (Class Overview)

この授業では、プレゼンテーションスキルの向上を目指し、実践的な活動を通じて学びます。
In this class, students will aim to improve their presentation skills through practical activities.

学生は、ジェスチャー、姿勢、アイコンタクト、声の抑揚、イントネーションなどを意識した練習を行います。
Students will practice focusing on gestures, posture, eye contact, vocal inflection, and intonation.

授業は講義、実演、グループ練習、個別フィードバックなどを組み合わせて進められます。
The class will combine lectures, demonstrations, group practice, and individual feedback sessions.

最終的には、3〜5分の英語スピーチを作成し、クラス全員の前で発表します。
Ultimately, students will create and deliver a 3-5 minute speech in English in front of the class.

このプロセスを通じて、自信を持って効果的に伝えるスキルを身につけることを目指します。
Through this process, students will develop the skills to communicate effectively and confidently.

成績評価方法・基準 (Grading Method and Criteria)

学生の成績は以下の基準に基づいて評価されます。
Student performance will be assessed based on the following criteria:
1. 最終スピーチ (Final Speech): 60%
3〜5分の英語スピーチの内容、構成、表現力、発声、ジェスチャー、姿勢を総合的に評価する。
The 3-5 minute English speech will be evaluated based on content, structure, delivery, vocal projection, gestures, and posture.
2. 平常点 (Class Engagement and Responsibility): 40%
授業への積極的な参加、時間厳守、課題の提出状況、自己評価の質を総合的に評価する。
Assessment will be based on active class participation, punctuality, timely submission of assignments, and the quality of self-assessment.

成績評価は、スピーチの完成度だけでなく、授業内での取り組みや学習態度を総合的に考慮して行う。
Grading will take into account both the quality of the final speech and students’ overall engagement and responsibility throughout the course.

• 学期開始前に、このクラスのGoogle Classroomに参加するよう求められます。
Before the course starts, you will be asked to enter the Google Classroom associated with this class.
• Google Classroomに参加すると、サンプル動画と自己紹介動画のテンプレートが確認できます。
When you join the classroom, you will see an example video and a template for your introductory video.
• 各自のペースで自己紹介スピーチを作成し、スマートフォンやビデオカメラを使って録画してください。
In your own time, you will write your self-introduction speech and then record a video using your smartphone or other video camera.
• この動画は、学期開始前に提出する必要があります。
This will then be submitted before the start of the course.
• 推奨される動画の長さは2〜3分です。
The suggested length is 2 to 3 minutes.
• 詳細はGoogle Classroomで共有されます。
More details will be shared on Google Classroom.
• サポートが必要な場合は、Google Classroomのプライベートメッセージまたはメールで教員に問い合わせてください。

Lesson 1: Course Overview and Feedback on Introduction Videos
授業の目的を説明し、事前に提出された自己紹介動画に対するフィードバックを行う。
Explain the purpose of the course and provide feedback on the self-introduction videos submitted before the first lesson.

第2回: プレゼンテーションスキルの基礎
Lesson 2: Fundamentals of Presentation Skills
姿勢、ジェスチャー、アイコンタクトの基本を学ぶ。
Learn the basics of posture, gestures, and eye contact.

第3回: 声の抑揚とイントネーション
Lesson 3: Vocal Inflection and Intonation
声のトーンや強弱を活用して、聴衆を引きつける方法を練習する。
Practice using tone and emphasis to engage the audience.

第4回: スピーチの構成とストーリーテリング
Lesson 4: Speech Structure and Storytelling
スピーチの効果的な構成と、ストーリーを用いた表現方法を学ぶ。
Learn effective speech structure and storytelling techniques.

第5回: グループ練習とフィードバック
Lesson 5: Group Practice and Feedback
グループで練習を行い、フィードバックを交換する。
Practice in groups and exchange feedback.

第6回: 発表準備
Lesson 6: Presentation Preparation
3〜5分スピーチの作成と最終練習を行う。

第7回: 成果発表 (1/2)

クラスの半分の学生が3〜5分スピーチを発表する。
Half of the class will present their 3-5 minute speeches.

第8回: 成果発表 (2/2) と振り返り
Lesson 8: Final Presentations (2/2) and Reflection
残りの学生がスピーチを発表し、全員で学んだことを振り返る。
The remaining students will present their speeches, followed by a class reflection.

教科書以外に準備するもの（自己手配） (Materials to be Prepared by the Students, Other than the Textbook)
• 毎回の授業に参加し、ノートを取るために、PC、Mac、またはiPadを持参すること。スマートフォンのみの持参はノート取りには不適切です。
Bring a PC, Mac, or iPad to every class for participation in lectures and taking notes. A smartphone is not acceptable for note-taking.
• 動画録画用の機器（スマートフォン、カメラなど）
Equipment for recording videos (smartphone, camera, etc.)
• 学生は、GoogleドキュメントやGoogleスライドなどのGoogleアプリに慣れておく必要があります。DHUの学生は、すべてのGoogleアプリを利用でき、Googleドライブの大容量ストレージも提供されています。
Students will be required to familiarize themselves with Google Apps such as Google Documents and Google Slides. All DHU students have access to all Google Apps as well as a generous amount of Google Drive storage.
• 本授業では Nearpod（nearpod.com）というWebアプリを使用し、登録不要かつ無料で利用できます。使用方法については、Google Classroom内および学期最初の授業で教員が説明します。
This course will use the web app Nearpod (nearpod.com), which is free to use and does not require registration. The teacher will explain how to use it on Google Classroom and in the first lesson of the semester.
